BAD sound quality when using VST plugins
I have a big problem with my sound quality when i record VST instruments with Cubase Sx using the kx driver.
it sounds like a bad telephone recording if u know what i mean. Earlier i used the latest Creative driver (it sounded great) but the latency problem made me look for other drivers. i've tried up to 170ms latency but the problem is still there...what should i do??? is there any configuration that has to be done before using it besides the ASIO setup?? computer info. AMD duron 1200 mhz 512Mb Ram 72000 Rpm IBM Deskstar Soundblaster Audigy 2 Platinum ANYONE ?!?!?! |

Use KX ASIO instead of ASIO MULTIMEDIA DRIVERS. Also, do not RECORD vsti instruments. Just use the EXPORT funcion and have the audio perfectly clean, imported right back into an audio track in Cubase...

You CAN record them. I'm just saying you shouldn't record them like a real instrument because you don't need to do so! Record a regular VSTi track. Select it, go to the FILE menu and select EXPORT - AUDIO MIXDOWN and the VSTi track will be imported back into your song as a regular AUDIO track. That's all you need to record a VSTi instrument. Get it?
