Hi ,i'm stil on 3545.
And i see a lot of changes since .

Dunno if Asio latency got improved somehow since then?

Anyway i have also a bit of concern about soundfont managment and synths on the card if i upgrade.
i read a lot of messages and i wonder if i "lose" some functionality in that way by upgrading ,or create unnecessary hassle .

I use sonar managment for storing soundfonts ,which i use for composing stuff without to load vstis and so on ,that take time in my "not-so recent "pc.

For what i get ,at least the installer should be "easier" since does'nt install in windows32 directory anymore.
Any Tip?

I would stay where you are at the moment. There really aren't any improvements for an XP machine that I know of with the newer versions. A few long time users say 3545 is more stable than later versions on XP machines. I haven't noticed a difference so will probably get all my machines back to 3545 myself.


If you do upgrade, you will have to add the KX directory to windows PATH or your soundfonts won't work.... not a major deal, adding to the PATH, but just another step. I don't know how Sonar will be effected.
