Vst instrument bug?

Hi all

I'm running Cubase SX with Edirol Orchestral VSTi & all is not well under the kX driver: When I play an arrangement everything's fine but when I stop the piece mid-song & play from that position I get no sound. Occasionally I get sound but it's little jumpy. Anyone got any ideas what's going on?
