Searching Cubase forum you´ll see that's a constant problem the management of soundfonts by SX. That´s lots of recomendations for using VSTI to do that.

I am using both KX Drivers (Audigy) as well as the YouP-PAXIII Drivers (SBLive) and with the SBlive Synth, the soundfonts work perfectly in Cubase SX.
