Anyone Megafont yet?

Has anyone successfully gotten Megafont to work with the kX drivers yet? How about AweVbank? Anyone???

Not the way like megafont, but TiMidity can play with Huge soundfont (not using soundcard's sf2 feature). OK Quality and very low cpu consumption.

I don't so much need a soundfont player (although I do make use of extended memory capabilities) as I do Megafont's ability to put all my soundfonts into one giant mapping that I can export to Sonar; then I'm able to select and audition any soundfont on my system right from the bank and patch fields in a Sonar track while it's playing. Megafont is the only program I've found that can do this. (I've only recently found out about AveVbank; haven't had a chance to intall and play with it. Don't know if that does what I want yet, too.) It'd be just perfect if I could use the quiet kX drivers with it.

Then how about Livesynth DXi? (If using just in Sonar)

Megafont is (was) the best soundfont manager that I´ve ever knew but unfortunately the project is dead

It doesn´t work with Kx and even with newer creative drivers I think.

I´m still using the mf_tools.exe to make custom soundfonts and .ins cakewalk intruments definitions for it. But no sucess with the managing of SF.

If some Delphi programer (that I am not) want to try some new chalenge, the sources are still available. Try to do that to work with kx

I agree. LiveSynth does what it does quite well, playing soundfonts, but it, or anything else, still doesn't come close to what Megafont does with allowing easy patch changes. I still use the old Creative drivers just to run it. I'm tempted to learn this Delphi stuff just to get Megafont up to date. I dare say it might just be worth a few bucks to some people 'round these parts.
