im running on cubase vst 32, kx3534f and sb live 5.1. i've been trying to record my soudfonts to the audio despite reading all the ways of messing around with the DSP and the routers. i've been only using cubase for 2 days now and this is the only problem. do i have to setup my midi on cubase to get the soundfonts into audio? i've tried connecting fxbus 2 n 3 to all the epilogs ASIOs and still nothing when i export it to audio. nothing but silence in that wave file. i've even activated everything on the VST master mixer and still nothing.
i wish someone could help me cause i really did read the forum before posting this up and i really need help to get my college work done. thanks

you have to load a soundfont-file into the live5.1 go to the FX-page from kx-mixer and load a sf2 file. then you will hear the instrument, come out at 2/3 on the fxbus in the dsp.

i have no problems playing back my sequence on cubase with soundfonts. it's working fine. the only problem is i can't export my sequence to wav and i've tried playing around with the DSP and Router in KX. I've read most of the post on the forum saying to get FXbus 2/3 to a selected asio input. i've tried connecting to the epilogs asio2 and 3 but it still i cant export my sequence to wav.
and i'm not really sure whether its the settings in cubase itself bcause i've been messing around with it for 2 days only. thanks though

Your case is a little different from what I have explained in another post. That was for recording VST instruments. You want to record the sound produced by KX synth (soundfonts). You're right. You've got to connect prolog 2 and 3 outputs to an asio input. But then you have to create a new audio track, set it to record from the asio inputs you connected prolog's 2 and 3 to, and play the music, so, while the KX synth is being played by one of your midi tracks, it is simultaneously recorded by an audio track. Got it?
