PITmaster is on a distinguished road

megafont still useful

kx drivers are excellent but I can't believe that megafont doesn't work

But this great manager works with one little bug - soundfonts are no cashing to memory in fact.

So I keept megafont even I'm using kx drivers. Why?
It's simple - this software exports new soundfont bank of all "cashed" fonts (monitor - Save all cashed as SoundFont). After that I'm starting butch like that:

C:\PROGRA~1\KXPROJ~1\3534\kxctrl.exe -sf2 u 1
C:\PROGRA~1\KXPROJ~1\3534\kxctrl.exe -sf2 l C:\PROGRA~1\megafont\default.sf2

and fonts are real cashed. Now you can hear your midi file with sounds you shose. Midi output may stay as LB1(2) during playing

And these are some important points:
- first you have to install megafont 1.24.2
- overwrite megafont.exe and mf_tools.exe with older verions 1.22
- copy SFEDT32.DLL to your system - it's necessary to create new soundfont file (default.sf2)

That's almost all but there is another annoying bug. After any modification of attached preset(s) the application restart is required. That means you have to EXIT from application and start it again. Ctrl-S doesn't work and only leaving program updates the registry currectly.
