How can I redirect -MIDI synth out- only on rear speakers?

Hi to everybody!
I've got a SBLive! with KX drivers and I want to play MIDI sounds only on rear speakers.
I tried with KXrouter without results... help me!

Hi!

Enter the DSP-WINDOW (right click on kx tray icon and go to DSP).
Disconnect the rears (EPILOG) from the surrounder.
Place a wire from FX-BUS 2/3 to the rears.

If you want to use the FX Reverb and Chorus for the synth, you have to mix them together with a mix plugin. If you want to do this, I´ll put a link here for you to download such a plugin.

May an other user have an other suggestion...

Cheers!

another question

thank you TravelRec, I tried it and it works, but I've got another question:
It is possible to redirect to rear speakers only a MIDI channel (for example the drum channel #10)?

Hi again!

Please do the following steps:

1. right-click on kx-tray icon, select router
2. select the synth you want (Synth1 or Synth2), click the +
3. select the channel (10 for drums)
4. in the right box click on 2 (FX send A) select here the FX-BUS 18 for example
5. then click on 3 (FX send B) and select here FX-BUS 19
6. pull the faders 13 (FX send C) and 14 (FX send D) down (they´re for effects)
7. place a wire between FX-BUS 18 and RearL
8. place a wire between FX-BUS 19 and RearR

Now you will hear your drums only on the rear outputs.

Cheers!

Yooohoooo!!!
Now I finally understand how kxRoute and KxDSP works, thank you travelrec!!!

I only ask you one more question:
I've got a little windows PC ( 300Mhz, 128MB ram) and I want to use it as
a sound module with sound fonts triggered by my Drum pad (Drum Kat DK10).
I want to find a software way to trigger sound fonts in loop mode (first hit on a
pad to start and the second on the same pad to stop). I tried with many software
but they are too heavy for my poor system...

Aahem...

so I think, I´m not the right one for you in this point. Maybe it´s cool to start a new thread with a question of what you want to do with your drums. If you use cubase, there are some VST(i)s to play samples via MIDI (triggered by your Drumpads), if this could help.

Cheers!
