Soundfont management (megafont alternative ?)

Hi all,

Since I use excellent kx drivers, I lost one important thing that I could use with bad Creative drivers ... megafont.

This software (that you know probably) was a great help for soundfont management (I could access my 1.4Go soundfonts which were re-organized). All my songs were made with megafont presets and now all my work is "incompatible".

Is there alternative and software that offer same functionnality ? You should have same problem with soundfonts ... if you have a lot of them, in some case, only a couple of sound can be good in an sf2 file.

Another problem is the bad soundfont support in cubase sx. It works great with my "old" cubasis but with sx version, patch names are not visible. Is Steinberg missing something !?

IMHO, Creative Drivers today are a better choice for soundfonts then Kx (!?!?!). Let me explain my point of view... Maybe kx can have better performance for Ram/Cpu utilization (I realy don't know the tecnical issue envolved). But it can“t handle big SF's, have problems with Cubase Sx and, more important, it's not compatible with soundfonts managers like megafont and genesys (this realy bother me). In the future this can be solved with the evolution of the Kx drivers but today I think Creative Drivers a are better choice if you (like me) are really interrested in soundfonts. That's my opinion...

(sorry the poor english)

Creative drivers are compatible with some software (megafont, cubase sx) but my main problem is that I can't use the complete power of effects. Creative drivers have limitations (only 2 effects) and this is very annoying.

Is there any idea for megafont compatibility ?

I'm developer and have a free personal Delphi version. Do you think that it could be easy to update megafont for kx ?
