KX Midi Synth-No Sound -SB live Platinum
Hi people,
i am using two sound card 1) SB live Platnium 2) Echo MiAMIDI. Bascially i use SB live for Midi Routing from my external keyboard. Also i use MIDI Synthezier built into SB platnium for midi Editing. Recently i have installed Kx driver for my SB platinium. I am using Sonar 3 & giga studio 2.54. when i open an midi file in Sonar3, i am trying to send midi tracks output to SB live Midi Synth. KX driver shows these Midi Synthezier as KX driver Midi Synth and Midi Synth 2. (When i select any one of above, no sound output.) I am not hearing any sound on the KX driver Wave OUT. If i trigger external midi keyboard, kx driver recognizes Midi IN thorugh Sonar. I am able to record Midi notes from keyboard to Sonar 3. Only problem i have that Not playing SB live MIdi Synth from Midi tracks in Sonar. (KX GUI is really confussing). i did set up in ControlPanel ->Sound&Mulimedia >then Audio Tab to set the correct Audio(KX driver) for Playback. & voices tab too in Win XP. Giga studio works fine with MiAMIDI sound card. also i am able send midi notes from Sonar to GigaStudio ports. Configuration: OS : Win XP profeesional along with Win 2000(Dual OS) Intel Pentium 3 Processor : 800Mhz Ram: 384mb ram. HardDrive: 120 gb(Western digital) ->Win2000 120 gb->Win XP prof(Segate) (Dual OS system) Sonar 3 & giga studio Running on Win XP. I am dedicated separate OS for GigaStudio & Separate Partition on HardDrive 2. |

Hi!
How about loading a soundfont into memory via -> right click kx-tray -> soundfonts -> click on "+" and select any GM-soundfont on your HD (*.sf2). Now you should able to play MIDI. sank; please don“t double your posts CU TravelRec.
