soundfont modulator routings

Hello there,

I've been using the kx drivers for a few weeks now and everything works really great. The only thing that's missing to make me totaly extatic is the support for soundfont modulator routings.

Is there anybody still working on this?

yes, some work is currently in progress -- however, I cannot promise these features are implemented soon

The support for soundfont modulator routings would be optimal for a better expression.
I have created many sounds whith aps drivers that take advantage of these property and i will publish this sounds whith a link soon here.

Enhanced MIDI Controller

You introduced the Enhanced CCs 16, 17, 18, 19. If you want to stay compatible with the former APS/Live driver and for all with Vienna, you should use the Controllers 21, 22, 23, and 24. In Vienna only these CCs are used.

Enhanced MIDI Controller

The CCs 21 thru24 are used in Vienna and were used in APS to govern a modulation matrix where you could edit a whole lot of parameters but these controllers should find also in the kX Driver their software interface. Instead Eugene Gavrilov decided to use CCs 16 thru19 for that work. I don't know if the newer Audigy cards use these controllers. If Eugene passes occasionally here and has left a minute of time, he could surely clear the problem.

the new CCs (16..19) have nothing to do with Vienna and modulators
they control additional send amounts available on the audigy & audigy2 boards
(that is, they work similar to the 'reverb' and 'chorus' CCs, but you will need to assign FXBusses to the particular send paths by using the kX Router)

the full 2.1 SoundFont support is planned, but I cannot promise it will be ever implemented...

Smilie

Not only the controllers are important, but also the key velocity, the after touch, the pitch bend would be more expressive if they were controlled by routing like aps.
