MIDI DLS voices out of sync in ACID 4.0

Hi there. Sorry to double-post, but I really need all the help I can with this.
I have a soundblaster Live 5.1 Platinum sound card that I'm using for MIDI Input from my keyboard controller.
I removed the Soundblaster drivers and replaced with the KX Project drivers (which support ASIO 2.0).
When I run Microsoft DirectMusic Producer, I use my keyboard controller to test out the sample on different notes. It is right on the money.
However, in Acid 4.0 (I'm using the soft synth and the same DLS set as in DMP)I get a 2 second delay when i press any of the synth keyboard keys.

In a nutshell, how to fix the soft synth voice delay in ACID 4.0, since I know it works just fine in DMP?
