Midi tempo drifting

Hi,
I'm using a P4 with 512 MB RAM and the Audigy Soundcard on Win XP. I have the latest creative drivers installed. I use cakewalk 9 for my sequencing but am getting a strange problem sometimes. When i have recorded the midi data , the playback is not exactly on time, it drifts from the tempo. And while i record i play with the metronome acurately. What seems to be the problem ? It happens only sometimes. I also have the maple virtual midi ports installed and notice that when i'm not using these ports the playback is fine, but the moment i select these ports in the midi devices, the tempo starts drifting.

Secondly, I cant load any large soundfonts, I saw a reply posted on the forum and it said tweak the pagepool and nonpagedpool size. But how do i change it and what settings do i specify?

Please help me! anybody!
