How do I use soundfonts in Logic 5.5?

Hello,

Could someone please explain for me how to use soundfonts in logic 5.5. I've tried to load a soundfont bank called '144.8mg Fluid Release III GM Bank.sf2' with the Kx Manager into bank 0 and chosed 'Both synths' for 'Target synth' (I have a EMU APS, by the way), but then I don't know how to use the soundfonts in Logic. I've tried chosing different drivers from the list to the left in the 'Arrange view' (kx synth EMUAPS, kx control EMUAPS etc.) and I've switched between different banks, but I don't get any sound.

Please, please, please, help me!!

Hi Mojang. I also have an APS with logic and soundfonts work fine. The midi outs you have to use are APS Synth 1 and 2. If you had problems setting bank or program from the instrument parameters in logic (yes that column on the left) make sure you checked on the square next to "Prg" or your changes will not be sent unless the're intentionally recorded on a sequence.

Now the bad news with using the APS as sampler is that soundfont settings are not saved in the logic song. I suggest that if you can you use the EXS24 sampler that comes with logic. It imports soundfonts fine and makes integration with logic's effects, routing, etc so much easier. It sounds terrific by the way
