Best sequencer to use with SF & kX?

Hi,

I want to change my music writing routine in a way that I'll develop my musical ideas in a MIDI only, limited environment. I realized that I spend too much time tweaking plugins, programming synths and other techie stuff, and then get tired and stop working (or run out of CPU), and, while being produced decently, my music lacks musicality.

So I want to switch to this.. errr.. "n-tier" way of composing. I want to initially develop my stuff in a MIDI sequencer limiting myself to only preset sounds. I was thinking of making a SoundFont bank that would contain original EMU 8MB bank and some additional banks with sounds more suitable for dance production.

Now, since I know that there are issues with SF implementation in kX and certain versions of sequencers, I want to know what seq. has proven to work best with kX implementation of SoundFonts (I want to be able to see patch names, no missing notes or other dodgy behaviour etc.)

Switching back from kX to those shite CL drivers is not negotiable. Thanks in advance for your time.
