"Notes" plugin suggestion

I was reading a thread in which Miguel was saying that he had "VOL modules renamed for making annotations. They consume no dsp resources and are saved with presets, handy to remember what a dsp preset was for." http://www.usfamily.net/web/4stories/MiguelMix.htm

I think that is a great idea, and I was wondering if it would be possible to create a simple, no dsp consuming plugin, called "notes" or "info" or "annotations" which we could just put anywhere in the dsp window as a comment to our setups. It'd be very handy for us and for people who want to learn more about kx dsp, as when we posted examples of setup they would be a lot more self explained.

What do you guys think about that?

Thanks,

Daniel

I think i'ts a very nice idea. If possible transparent notes so one still can see the "threads" behind.
It would also be useful with some kind of notes to mark the inputs (line in, FXreturn etc)
on the mixerplugin MX6 (just like tapestrips on a real hardware mixer....).

This driver keeps getting more and more fun....... , thanks again /W2L

thanks Daniel for bringing this up

what about making them act like a post-it that one can glue to a wire and have it attached while moving dsp boxes around. Plugs can be labeled with this as well, just right clicking on the wire nearer an end, then do "add note" or something like that. Maybe they could even have minimize button to leave long text notes as small boxes. Oh and could kX bring me breakfast to bed?

Ah, Daniel, you mean the breakfast thingie, don't you.

what about being able to change cable colors (less spaghetti), or the dsp boxes themselves, not so useful though
