Sad No MIDI commands from sequencer

Hi,
Installed the new Kx drivers for my SBLive 5.1, so now GigaStudio 2.5 is working OK in WinXP pro.
But the Sequencer (Finale2002) isn't sending any MIDI signals to GigaStudio.
Is far as these two programs are concerned, I'm sure I have it set up properly.
Any ideas?
I can play sounds on GigaStudio, but it just isn't receivin any commands from Finale.

Will be greatfull for any reply, Thanks

John

are you sure the gigastudio's virtual midi connectors are installed? if they are, you need to set finale to use those midi ports

thanks for your reply,

Yeah, I believe the ports are available in gigastudio, and I;ve set up Finale to use the Gigastudio Port 1, 2, 3 and 4. It always worked on Windows ME, its just now on WinXP that I had to download these Kx drivers, but then, no MIDI commands from Finale. I even get a warning meassage from finale every time I start it that its not supportet by the driver, but there must be a way, don't you think?

Gigastudio

the file name is msg32, and I find it is linked to msgsrv32

Also, how did you get gigastudio to work with winME with KX? I have version 2.50.00 and it recognises the GSIF drivers, but I don't get no sound

good luck!

drivers on ME

When I used WinME, I didnt use the WDM drivers, on my soundcard CD, I could choose the SounBlaster Live series driver. That works perfectly on GigaStudio. As long as it's no WDM, it works.

thanks for your replies

The build is 160 and the Msg stuff is all there when I do Ctrl Alt Del.
Maybe it's not compatible with Finale?
I still get the meassage, "MIDI output not supported. Check the supported feature under the driver compatibility menu."

It's as if the driver didn't support MIDI commands from sequencers, which I find hard to believe...
Getting desperate.
