Hello good sirs,
Firstly, thanks to the KX gods for these drivers, and thanks to all the forum members for their insight and contributions. I've been trolling around here for a while, anxiously awaiting the advent of the new drivers. So here's my problem : I used the utility (forgot what it was called) to completely remove all vestiges of the creative drivers to clear up some problems. It worked, but it also removed the soundfont functionality from Sonar (and the Vienna soundfont editor). What are the bare minimum files I need to restore normal soundfont functions? I don't want to reinstall the whole creative driver set because that will restore the problem they caused in the first place. Thank you! |

You probably removed sfman.dll. There are several versions of this file, so I think you should reinstall kX driver so you will have the one that works best with these drivers.

search for a file named sfman32.dll, using the windows search tool - if you can't find it, download it from here, under files.
Chances are that is the problem, but if the file is there, try downloading the one i linked to anyway, it may solve your problem edit: this needs to be in the windows\system32 folder
