What's this MIDI driver for?
After successful installation of kx drivers in my PC, when I run Cakewalk Home Studio 2004, I get this "new" driver in the MIDI Devices called "kx Control CTM002 Mb [e800]" This appears in BOTH the input and output.
My question is what does this driver do? Thanks! QF |

kX control is used to control kX DSP modules via CC messages

I see. Is there a list of what the CC messages that can be controlled? Also, if this "driver" is available in Cakewalk and the likes, why would I need to set it in Cakewalk's MIDI Devices? Can't I just use the insert function to insert CC msgs into a track? Why must there be a "choice" whether to select kx Controller in MIDI Devices or not?
Thanks! QF |

the CC messages can be assigned to any parameter of any plugin using the kX router
the midi driver is used for automation, in case you want to, for example, have a filter sweep using a kX filter
