Sound Fonts + Cakewalk - no sound

Hi

I am not getting any sound output from my SBLIVE 5.1 card when using Cakewalk Home Studio.

The soundfonts load okay - just no output.

Can anyone help, has anyone managed this?

Could it be my Midi ins and outs settings?

On the positive side I have managed to load fonts that I never could before with SB drivers.

Andy

System Specs

use the kX synths as the midi output
cakewalk is asio? if so connect fxbus 2/3 to an ASIO input and open the corresponding channels in cakewalk

I use Sonar 4, and I've found that I have to load soundfonts via the kX Soundfont page on the kX Mixer and via Sonar by using The Options-SoundFonts command on the toolbar. I dont know if you can load soundfonts in Home Studio this way, but I thought I'd mention this, just in case.

Edit: If you can upgrade to Home Studio 2 XL, you get the dyad DXi which has .sf2 support. Other than that, you would have to get a sequencer that supports VSTi and you can get the free soundfont player from RGC:audio here:
