About "double notes" and "kX Control In/Out"
Hi,
I see a lot of posts about double notes from the inputs. Maybe this is because the mysterious "kX Control" INPUT re-sends all MIDI messages which are already sent by the "kX UART"? At least, this happens to me... I upgraded to 3538g but still i get this weird results. (the yamaha driver is a driver which lets me connect to my clavinova thru COM1) MIDI Inputs: kX Control CT4832 10k1 (????) kX Uart CT4832 10k1 YAMAHA CBX A Driver MIDI Outputs: kX Synth CT4832 10k1 kX Control CT4832 10k1 kX Synth2 CT4832 10k1 kX Uart CT4832 10k1 YAMAHA CBX A Driver Using kX automation i routed ch1, cc2 to timbre->bass I use MIDIMON to look at the behaviour. When i select Uart+Control as inputs to monitor, i see that the kx Control sends the same messages as the uart, with almost no delay(timestamp usually is the same, sometimes 1 unit later, about 0x400 is 1 second i believe, so it's <1ms). So all messages from the UART are copied. When i look at the timbre settings i see the Bass moving when i send ch1,cc2 messages thru my UART (without sending anything to the kx Control OUTPUT!!!). It seems that the kx Control INPUT doesn't copy anything from the YAMAHA CBX A Driver Input . Although, i can see the Bass fader moving when i send ch1,cc2 messages thru the YAMAHA Cbx A Input. So it seems that the automation "steals" information from all inputs without them being routed to the kx Control output. The Bass Fader does also change when i send controller values using a sequencer to the Kx Control OUTPUT. However, when i monitor the kx control INPUT, it doesn't give any messages. Not that this all is a very big problem. I can chose automation controller numbers which cant be send by other midi in devices than i want. But i don't think it's "expected behaviour". In short, this happens: -the "Kx Control" Midi INPUT only copies messages from the Uart input. -The "kx control" midi OUTPUT works as expected -The "kX Automation" driver seems not only look to the "kx Control" midi output, but also to all MIDI inputs. What i would rather want: -No "kx control" midi input needed becasue it has no use -Not the automically use all messages from the inputs for the kx Automation I want to have the possibilty to translate midi messgase form the inputs before they go to the automation and that is not possible now. Bye, Cheiz |

kX control is used to control the parameters of DSP effects
disable this input in your sequencer

I don't see how the kx Control INPUT is used for automation...(the OUTPUT i understand)
And what about the automatic scanning of all midi-ins? Is there a way to disable that? Because i want to be able to translate the messages and decide which midi ins should be used for automation. -Cheiz |
