Importing midi-files in Cubase
Hi,
I ran into some problems when I tried to import midi-files in Cubase SX. As I am not a midi expert, I might be doing something wrong, but I haven't found my mistake yet. The tracks of the file are all played by the first few instruments of the soundfont seemingly according to the midi channel, so I get everything played back in different piano sounds. When I use kxsfi, I can of course switch back to the original instruments, but that's not really satisfying. The files sound ok when I play themback in another midi-player ( I'm using "van basco"). Another thing which sometimes happens is that Cubase sometimes "kicks out" my soundfonts (also when I import midis). I get no sound in Cubase, and when I switch to the kx soundfont window, it says "no soundfont loaded". I usde the "general user" soundfont which I found in some thread in this forum. Has anybody got any idea what is going on here? Thanks, Markus |
