Yes it is possible. Use kX-Router for doing that, read the help-file about the router usage.

The kX router sends the different MIDI channel sounds of the synth to different outputs of the FXBus in the DSP (if you want). Read kXRouter guide in kX-help files. The kXAutomation makes it possible to control each slider or knob or switch of any supported plugin in the DSP via MIDI controller messages. Read the kXAutomation gude in the help files.

travel rec , ive been using kxrouter to seperate my midi channels but because there is only fx bus's form 2-15 (fx bus 0 and 1 is for wav) it is limited to only only 7 seperate midi channels. is that right or is there a way around this?

i route these channels into the MX6 which of course only has 6 channels to route to, so i can only add seperate fx to 6 midi channels in total... is there a way i havent seen to improve this also?
hope this is not a stupid question. im sure its staring me in the face!!!!!

tyhanx in advance

Hi trev!

It all depends on your card model. Afaik 10k1 cards have only fXBus 0 to 15, 10k2 cards have also 16 to 32, so more ressources. If you need more mixing capabilities, chain more stereo Mix plugins together or make a mixer for your own and put it in the DSP. Or you download this , unzip it and register it and put it into the DSP: http://www.electricstart.de/plug/monimix6.zip
Greetings!

thanx travelrec, i tried your monimix6 and it didnt load but said "instantiating effect/plugin"
is that cos its for 3538? (i have 3537 at the mo as i'm still novice!!)

chaining stereo mix plugins dont give me the ability to add fx do they, or am i missing what you are saying?

i could use 2 MX6 mixers but still as i have 10k1 card (i think.... emu APS it is) i am still stuck by the no of busses i have arent I?

thanks for your help so far

No, no... Monimix6 is a simple *.da file, so usable on all current kX versions. Unzip it, register it and then it should be found in the FX-menu in the DSP as "Monitor-Mix6". Just tested it, it works here on both 3537 and 3538 drivers. Please try it again. For your card Iīm sorry - only 16 FX-busses available... .

thanx travelrec for your patience, i dont know why it didnt work first time as i did the same and it worked this time!!

mixer looked nice at the outset......but I'm having some issues with working it out!

ok... when i connect from my src fx buss to this 'monitor mixer' it has 'In 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 and 8' which made me think "cool 8 stereo inputs!" and it has 'pan' under each input. but looking at it closer it seems they are only mono inputs. is that right or am i missing something? i'm not sure how i am supposed to connect from src to the mixer without losing stereo! (again!!!)..

hope you can help? i really am crap at working out all this in, out, send, buss stuff!!!

ok... interesting. the mixer worked fine when i re-registered it. but it seemed to stop working after a while- "instantiating effect/plugin"'. I' m not sure when it does this yet, maybe when i shut down and restart comp?? i'll investigate and let you know. (if youre interested that is?? )
i have tried re downloading and unzipping again but no luck. just wont work!!
hmm

Hmm, bit strange - since it is really only code for dane-editor it should work okay... used the MoniMix 6 here for many months without problems, now I use an upgraded version with more outs and some special routing for digital and analog paths...
Maybe you should create a new GUID and paste it into the code instead of the old one, maybe you have an interference with another plugin...

Okay, youīre right - there are 8 Mono inputs (all pins in the DSP are mono...) and you can select via the pan slider, where in the stereo-base your signal plays. 2 channels and pan sliders one left one right means stereo.

Please let me know what youīve discovered.

Okay - sorry for the hassle - here it works well. I doubt that 3538 will expand the capabilities for you, since your card is still the same. Some more plugins and a better driver you will get, but for more than 8 inputs you have to build your own mixing plug or chaining some together, like before. Anyway.... Greetings!

Yeah, I thought that also, but for simple fx with standard instructions and no dlls or skins, itīs quite easy if you understood the structure of 10k1 / 10k2 and its instruction codes. I think I link you to the newest version of MoniMix7 and then you could test again, maybe this works for you. Greetings!

excuse my ignorance..the link you give me for monomix 7 here is the written code only, yes? do i copy and paste this into something?
I did notice a thread where lemury is suggesting he could make the MX6 into MX8 which would solve my problems which would be cool.

Yep, itīs code but you can use it in that way: link right click, save taget as..., then it will be saved on your HD as a kX-file. Otherwise, open Dane (kX code-editor, right-click kX-tray, kX Editor) and paste the code there, save it as monimix7.kx and that is it. And yes, MX8 would be cool, but on slow machines the peak-meters eat up some ressources, monimix doesnīt has that problem.
