MIDI: Lower nr. of voices
Oki, newbie here. I'm using MIDI/SF2 on one SB Live! Value made in 2000th. First time Got kX one year before.
What occurs me to write here is that Some parts of partitures (such as right hand of piano or some voices of choir) are just unplayed because, as it is probably used to be called, "the other voices eat all the resources". It is connected, On every *greater* part, the considerable nr. of voices is just cutted out and unplayed. I think it is connected with the using of the pedal effect. I'm not sure if that's really only about kX but it occured the first time I done the clear kX install. Before that, everythinhg was worked without such problems. Is there a way to fix it and keep the kX on the mech? Maybe something should be just increased, but I have no a clue how to do that and get the old state. I'd be grateful for any though or tip. Even info that kX have nothing to do with that would be helpful.

This is a matter of polophony which is the same in CL and kX drivers.
(max. 64 mono voices fixed in hardware) However, kX uses a different 'note stealing algoritme'. (Check kX Analyzer which displays your current voice allocation) BTW; This has already been discussed in this section of our forum. /LeMury |
