possible to use both synths with kxsfi?
I've been using kxsfi with Cubase SE and it's been working very well. However, I can only use one synth so I'm limited to only 16 midi channels. I would like to use both synths to get 32 channels.
I've tried running without kxsfi to do this trying two different versions of sfman32.dll, but Cusbase does not behave consistantly. Sometimes patchnames are not visible, banks are not stored with the project, etc. I've tried putting sfman32.dll in my Cubase folder as well as the system32 folder and made sure the correct version is being used, but the only thing that seems to work correctly is kxsfi. I'm using kxsfi/sfman32.dll from the 3538c/g/h installation. Is it possible to run a second instance of kxsfi for the second synth in order to get 32 midi channels? If not, is there some other "non-kxsfi" way of getting the second synth to work when using kxsfi for the first? I've searched and read all the threads I could find but I didn't see an answer to this. Please fill me in if I missed something. Thanks! |
