Configuring Kx for multiple users

I'm trying to configure kx mixer and soundfonts (using Windows XP on a school network, with Soundblaster 5.1 card)

Basically I have two problems:

1. When I add soundfonts to kx from windows/system 32 folder, they don't appear for other users when they log onto the same PC using their own username.

2. Any changes I make in the speaker setup don't appear for other users (so no sound comes out intially as they need to swap front/rear)

ANy help much appreciated!
