Midi Command reference?

Hey, quick question, new to midi, I am trying to find a reference as to what each of the midi commands mean. some of them are easy, but what about bank switch etc, etc.. I just started midi today, So I am just learning..can some body point me in the right direction please? thank you in advance..

Yes, I am doing my studying. I never knew how powerful midi was until I started messing around with KX and reading. I never understood about Midi control, I always thought of less than real sounding pianos and thats about it when I thought of midi. Know I am starting to understand what it's all about and me being the electronice hobbyist that I am I am working on designs for a controller. It would be very cool to turn a knob or move a slider in a hardware board and see it move on the screen, within KX or whatever.. Thx again for the links, give me lots to read...
