I have Sonar 2.2 and Audio out (ASIO & WDM) is OK. I can send midi to other synths via Uart but I can't play Soundfonts and SB onboard Midi sounds using synth1 or synth2 does not work either. I have loaded Soundfonts in Kx Mixer and Sonar.
When the audio output is set to 5.1 and speakertest runs, the rear output is suddenly center and sub, but from Sonar the rear output plays left and right on kx0100 0/1 output. /Micro |

What do you mean "onboard MIDI? When you load a .sf2 into one of the kX Synths, you get no sound? What driver are you using? What's your sound card model? Are you using the kX DSP default DSP settings?

I don't get any sound loading Soundfonts in kxMixer & in Sonar. The SB card is SB0100. Driver is 3537. OS is XP. DSP using kxdefault.kx.
I tried to reinstall kx project. When rebooting the computer I got an errormsg: Error loading driver - please de install (the msg was in danish - so this is probably a poor translation). Then I tried to install in protected mode as suggested on website, but system got cold and died installing kxasio.dll... Tried the same in normal mode. Everything seems ok for 2 minutes. Audio (softsynths) and midi playing together. kx Wave SB1020 [ffe0] 6/7 was suddenly alive. Then the computer froze. Had to turn it off and now I'm back to uart as the only thing playing anything (only external synths). No audio at all - not even the speaker test. |

I tried to reinstall drivers again and I got two minutes more where I could listen to both midi and audio. Then the system hung up....

The only other thing I can suggest, if you havent tried it already, is to completely uninstall the kX driver. If you had a Creative driver completely uninstall it and all Creative software. Turn off System restore.
Get Driver Cleaner Pro from this Forum: http://driverheaven.net/showthread.php?t=76416 In safe mode, run Driver Cleaner Pro for kX and Creative audio. On Driver Cleaner Pro under Tools menu, use Cab Cleaner for what Windows Service pack you have, and reboot. Reinstall kX, and reboot. Turn System restore back on, upon successful install of kX. If this doesnt work for you, I dont know what's wrong.
