Vienna 2.4 has been released!

hi,
With the X-Fi comes a new and improved Vienna (said to be compatable with audigy 2ZS, at the least)
At the moment it's only on the X-Fi distribution CD.
See the threads below for accounts from actual user. I'm sure it will turn up on Peer to peer sometime.
I thought I'd make this into a thread of it's own:
Quote:
There are some good threads at sf2midi.com in particular that Vienna 2.4 is bundled with X-Fi and that it has significant improvements. There is no doubt that the X-Fi soundfont is hardware based and enhanced (24bit, 128 voice).

We dont often get much real news in soundfont land so I thought I'd pass it on..

EXTREMELY interesting.
I wonder what that implies for sblive-audigy owners.

i think th soundfont were maybe "too dangerous" for sample producer, dunno what to say :
i mean ,a technology so easy to use ,VERY LOW -resources consuming ,
and both hardware -software dependant at choice.
it works on low and high cards consumer. strangly better at budget cards(like ors audigies).

And they DID'NT develop like they could.
