vienna sounds better than another midi seqs
I've noticed differences in kx's synth sound from vienna and cubase or fl studio
Please try this sample: www.gdynia.mm.pl/~MMmaster/SlapBass1.mp3 There are 3 notes of Slap Bass 1 (MagicSF v. 2.0) played from vienna and next 3 notes played from fl studio. The end part (after touch) is different. Do anybody have any idea? PITmaster |

FL studio / cubase - I think is using a software SF player - Unless you use the KX MIDI Synth - but I suspect you are comparing an apple to an Egg.
Vienna is using HARDWARE KX MIDI SYNTH. and how after touch can be different (as well as a lot of other SF synth params..) |

No, no,
I play the same kX's synth from FL Studio and from Cubase (I've tried kXSFi with Cubase too). I guess you are talking about software SF player like sfz - I don't mean it. PITmaster |

I've even tried very simple and very native midi soft - Midisoft Recording Session, and I've got the same results. Strange, isn't it?
Maybe it's a question of any CC initialisation starting vienna? PITmaster |

Hmm, I had to decrease Volume Envelope Release from 1 to 0,99 in vienna and save SF.
Then it sounds right in Cubase and CC72 and CC69 start to work right in general . PITmaster Last edited by PITmaster; Dec 29, 2005 at 03:28 PM. |
