Hi!
Could somebody tell me how to make a soundfont with note-off samples (heard when keybord key is released)? |

1 - theres no 'NOTE OFF' in sound fonts - this is a MIDI message
some (most I'd think actually) synths treat a MIDI 'NOTE OFF' message as a NOTE with 0 velocity. BUT -- to 'emulate' that behaviour. Set sample up properly - loop points are what determins WHAT SOUNDS WHEN 'RELEASE' of ADSR. Example: attack/decay |Loop sustain end| RELEASE ...s.a.m.p.l.e..d.a.t.a....w.i.t.h..l.o.o.p..p.o.i .n.t.s. The section of the sample AFTER the LOOP END point - will be what plays when key is released. - just make sure the ADSR 'Release' is long enough to hear it. |

I didn't realise this subject had already been approached on the forum. Did you have any luck getting the release sample to play??

I just tested in 3538J and it works as expected.
Not sure if it makes a difference, but I DO have 'legacy release/decay' checked in KX synth compatibility settings. |
