yeah but ati and nvidias solutions arent dedicated ones. Personnaly I want to see the ageia cards take off. And so do the devolpers of 60 - 100 upcoming games. Interesting times ahead.

I seriously think this thing is going to flop. Currently from the benchmarks I have seen it actually hurts performance (3Dmark06). Dual Core CPU's should be able to handle the physics calculation once titles start fully using the second core of CPUs.

and Crossfire setups is plenty enough. And if the ATI claims are right crossfire doing physics is far faster then what ageia or even nvidia can do. These big boys call ati and nvidia was not born last night, same with amd or intel. you'll never see any stiff competiion from "newcomers". They had thier chance for 5 minutes of fame. but agaia set on thier hands and waited now the big boys had time to come up with thier own soultions.... and SLI an Crossfire are FAR more cost effective and you get FAR more BANG! for your buck.... makeing agaia's products seem a bit bland

I think your right for now... but as soon as the phisics chip matures and becomes fast and optimized enought.. just like the GPU has become then there is nothing better then a dedicated chip doing its thing... if ATI or Nvidia do infact decide to put in there own chips and I say why not.. its only Igea being around thats making them do it faster instead of leting them release a new GPU every monday morning.. making us waste 500$ each time.
