Re: Nvidia abandons the mid and high end market

as this is Charlie Demerjian im positive this is rather ludicrous as im sure you knew him from the inquirer. I am however about to have a conference call with Nvidia on it.

I doubt that is correct. its very anti nvidia. I remember him on the inquirer. he turned into a bit of a joke, but if thats not true Nvidia need to make an announcement.

Re: Nvidia abandons the mid and high end market

thats an extremely aggressive bit of writing from Charlie - I agree however, if this is wrong Nvidia really do need to sort it out. there are a certain group of people who will believe it.

Re: Nvidia abandons the mid and high end market

I have my doubts this is true. At the very least, I hope it is not true, I would hate to have only one real line of products for PC gaming. I don't know when/if Intel will decided to enter, so having only one company gain a monopoly, is very bad.

There are some good things about it though, if it is true. One is, it's freaking hilarious. The second is their campaign of how games are meant to be played...I could make many jokes about it, but I won't. But, if developers continue using it, perhaps in a year or two we will see games that look fantastic on low end cards, which is good news.

I hope it is not true.

Re: Nvidia abandons the mid and high end market

It's probably taken out of context at the very extreme.
