Greg Goodrich, the executive producer on the upcoming Medal of Honor reboot, has said while speaking to The New York Times that the first-person shooter needs to sell over three million copies in order for there to be a sequel. This was apparently in response to a question on the game’s budget in June this year.
According to Goodrich failing to hit three million in sales will mean that “I’m not going to be able to do another one”. The budget for Medal of Honor is supposedly gigantic. Electronic Arts roped band Linkin Park in to do the game’s sound track and they are also contracted for public appearances. The future of the MoH franchise seems to rest on the sales for the reboot.
Medal of Honor will be launching shortly before Call of Duty: Black Ops at the end of this year.
