MICROSOFT is seen as clunky when it comes to interface design, especially up against arch-competitor Apple and that firm's slick touchscreen interface technology used in the iPhone and the iPad. But the big M has a smash hit of its own in the form of the Kinect motion-sensing games controller for the Xbox console. Kinect has sold more than 10 million units since its launch in November.
