Billy "Wicked" Wilson dead at age 33

Of the all the sites on the internet I rely on 2 every single day: VE (Voodoo Extreme), and DriverHeaven.

My first broadband experience on the net was visiting a site called VE3D. I thought that I had hit paydirt when I found it. It was a hub for gaming news of all sorts, and from all over the net. The site was created and run by one Billy "Wicked" Wilson, and with his sense of humor and style he had me hooked on that site from day one. A couple years back he left that site to pursue other interests (and he wasn't happy with the direction the site was heading, plus he lost everything when he couldn't pay for it anymore), and I've missed him ever since. Since then they have become part of IGN networks, and it continues to be a good source of info for me.

Then, today, my heart sank. VE (as they are known now) have posted that Billy had died last night at the prime age of 33. It hasn't been made public as to the reasons or cause of his death, but for me it doesn't matter. I conisdered him a friend of sorts, and I will miss him even more so now.

I hope that VE lasts a long time on the net. That'd be a great tribute to you my man. Rest in peace Billy.
