Japan is encouraging people to use their real names when writing articles or posting information on the internet to help reduce crimes that are committed due to the Net's anonymity.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications will incorporate a set of measures for the campaign in a final report its "information frontier" study panel is set to release later this week, the sources said.
