EA's version of Steam EA Downloader

Today EA announced a new steam like service called EA's Downloader

EA Downloader Advantages
  • Easy Downloading
    • Downloading is as fast as your Internet connection will allow.
    • If your download gets interrupted, EA downloader will automatically resume where it left off.
  • Easy Patching
    • Any new patches for your games will appear in your downloads list. Download with one click.
  • Expansion Pack Pre-loading
    • Completes download of the next expansion pack before the game is released.
    • You can install and play the expansion pack the minute the game hits the streets for official release.
  • No Additional Discs Required to Play
    • You don't need a new CD, just login to start playing.
    • Install your games on multiple PCs. Get EA downloader from the website and use it to download your games to another PC. (Make sure you have the base game installed before downloading any expansion pack for it.)
  • Game Replacement for Lost Copies
    • If your game is lost or accidentally erased from your PC, simply download another one for free. The new copy will be tied to your original account, so you will need to login to play.
The first EA game that will take advantage of this new service will bee BF2: Special Forces.
