the trouble with boys
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/10965522/site/newsweek/
i know this is not exactly 'normal' for this site but given the demographics here i think it has a lot of relevance. i am hoping that it will help some members understand why they might be feeling frustrated with school & help them find a path that will enhance their learning experience.

Actually makes a bit of sense if you read through the entire first page. Its kind of the same thing with race that it is with gender. If your a white male you are at a disadvantage in the United States. You recieve less in loans no matter your money situation and are given basically no help from an educational standpoint. What ever is opposite as a feminist or what ever you would call men that would be equally sexist as a feminist has probably been strickin from the record or taken out of all the books. Men are not allowed to be sexist but women are allowed to do what they please. Black people are allowed to be racist but white people can't. I don't like the sight of anyone being racist or sexist but one group should not have it because we feel in debt to them. In School I noticed women were supported by teachers to excel while the guys were already seen as hopeless causes.
Its like somewhere back down the blood line someone fucked up and now everything is all fucked up. Why can't aid be given equally between a Black Girl and a White Boy? Why are those barriers even there still? Maybe I should create a financial aid program that helps out any white boy (0r anyone for that matter) get the same amount of money as a black girl or the most amount of money possible. |
