I'm using my old main box as a test machine for Win 7 however I've only got a x1950 Pro for the vid card in it. ATI's beta drivers for Win 7 are stating that it's only for the 2x00 cards or above. Any suggestions/comments about these?

I'm asking because I'm leary of beta drivers. Going through the beta drivers for testing Vista blew out two of my x850 Pro cards I had to the point where I was seeing little red and green pixels all over the screen and that was even in the bios and after changing back to my XP hard drive. Needless to say, I wasn't happy about the whole thing at all but I did want to see how Win 7 ran.

So far, I've got just the basics installed (Office 07, Kaspersky beta AV, some other odd small programs) but no games yet and would like to but I don't want to blow out my x1950 card as it's an AGP card and damn near impossible to replace.
