Win 7 build 7077 x64 and Cat 9.4
Install of 9.4 was borked from the begining, the Cat Instal Manager, CCC and Visual C++ were my install options. The driver was never even listed as an option to install. The items listed appeared to install but the driver did not. CCC would not open with the default MS ATI driver. Installed the driver portion manually then CCC would open and some things function like fan speed control worked but the new Overdrive didnt work and after manually adjusting clock speeds they had zero effect on performance.
I had to revert to 9.3 with build 7077. |

Hmmm as I said on the other thread will try them out here tonight I also have to try out Comodo firewall for Robert to see if it works with this build.

Re: Win 7 build 7077 x64 and Cat 9.4
I even tried manually installing the 9.4 drivers with the 9.3 CCC components and that wouldnt work either so something must be messed with 9.4

Re: Win 7 build 7077 x64 and Cat 9.4
I just updated to 7077 and the separate Display Driver Only package worked while the full did not seem to identify the card for the driver.

Re: Win 7 build 7077 x64 and Cat 9.4
go to ati website and select the chipset drivers as the option and download the individual southbridge drivers.. (the m3a79t doesn't have a northbridge....)

I also had the same problems on a friends computer.
For myself, I just use ATI driver only package + ATI Tray Tools (IMHO much better than CCC)

Re: Win 7 build 7077 x64 and Cat 9.4
I think there's some newer beta of ATI Tray Tools in their forum. I used the driver+ATT combo long ago when the brand new CCC was a mess, but todays CCC has been fine for me.

Re: Win 7 build 7077 x64 and Cat 9.4
Yup, mkk is right. Here is the permanent link to latest beta ATI Tray Tools. Enjoy
![]() I still think ATT is way better than CCC, because it's smaller, has lots of option (over and under clocking, voltage control, FAN control, gaming profiles, hardware monitoring, over and under clocking profiles) and nonetheless save icon position feature

Re: Win 7 build 7077 x64 and Cat 9.4
Same problem with Cat 9.4. CCC won't install.
Will try 9.3 Edit: the following worked for me. went to ati.com instead of game.amd.com and selected win 7 32 bit -> ati mobility radeon. it downloaded exclusive win 7 drivers. not vista + win 7. And CCC is now working. The only glitch is it's showing Vista power plans in ATI power management and I can't change any settings. Everythings blanked out.
