So far I dont see much difference from the last few builds I have tested but i guess thats a good thing

Yeah no problems installing 9.4 here either. Something tells me this won't be the build for the public RC1 coming in May, but we'll see.

CCC doesn't install on my laptop. The drivers install just fine but CCC doesn't show up in the context menu.

Using this laptop: Toshiba - Timeout-Error

Otherwise, 7100 seems to be the most stable release yet. 7057 started crashing and locking up after a few days. Hope this release fares better.

Haven't tried it on a laptop but Cat 9.4's working fine here on this build as they did on 7.077. Chaos ran into an issue make sure you DL the entire suite from ATI.

All the mobo drivers except for the LAN installed fine for my Giga GA-X38-DQ6. Window7 automatically configured the LAN so no issues here but since this mobo has 2 onboard LAN ports it may affect using both. I will go onto the Realtek site later.

Ahh cool to bad about some of the info being blanked out seems fine here. I just opened Everest CPUID though and it also is missing info.

EDIT: On Everest that was an older beta I had the new version is working fine

I've been using the 7100 build for a few days now, and I like it. The only thing I haven't been able to get working righ now is the Profiling Software for my Saitek X-52. But, knowing Saitek, that's not suprising.

It's a bit more 'polished' than the Public Beta, and I think you will like it.

I will DEFINATELY buy the Ultimate version of Windows 7 when it's released.

i really wish Microsoft would grow a brain and provide a Refresh Rate drop down bar along side the Resolution selection.... nothing is more irritating as hell then to switch resolutions and the default refresh rate windows 7 figures is right is unsupported. (this applies to previous windows version mind you)

you can't change the refresh rate.. and you can't see anything ... but you can't change the refresh rate for that resolution without setting it first.... it's a catch 22 load of crap

I installed the RC Saturday evening and tinkered with it over the weekend. Over all, I'm really impressed. It runs pretty snappy, thought not a huge improvement over Vista for me and I've not done any gaming yet aside from logging into WoW to see if it still works and DLing a few Steam games. Installation was pretty simple and fast. The thing even installed most of my drivers without me having to mess around with them. Stability is decent, though I had one time when the GPU didn't resume from sleep, probabaly a driver issue.

I love the new look. The start menu and taskbar are a huge improvement over Vista. Libraries work really well and the jumplist feature is nice too. I even like all the interesting themes they added and being able to use gadgets w/out a sidebar is a blessing.

If nothing dramatic changes for the worse, I'll probably pick up a copy when it's released.

Does anyone notice that flash player in windows 7 is brighter and smother? I think so on XP I could see my flash little bit broken on way on top but with windows 7 I don't see at all.

XP performance in a number of web application is horrible even on newer machines.... specially when compared side by side on identical machines to vista or even win7......

even a caveman could tell the difference

Ok guys, started having problems with Win 7 RC.
Came out of sleep mode,found Task Manager GUI elements missing.Restarted.Now text is bold and everything in FF is italicized

Ran Windows Recovery at boot. It activated system restore. Nothings improved. And now Steam is also gone :P Dang. http://bit.ly/lJ6LQ Help!

New problem. Just downloaded and installed XP Mode. Clicking on any File or Folder that belongs to the host PC in My Computer on the virtual machine cause a VM explorer hang.
