Re: Windows 7 RC released
Windows 7 is meant to not have an e-mail client anymore. Try Windows Live Mail if you want something similar to what Windows Mail and Outlook Express was.

Re: Windows 7 RC released
Have Win 7 up and running. Sofar everything is running smoothly. Both the X-Fi card that came with the Bloodrage GTI board I am now using and my Linksys wireless adapter were automatically installed. I was a little worried about those two. Was unable to run the Experience though.

Re: Windows 7 RC released
Experience IS flaky .... with the beta it wiped out my drivers...... RC 7100 is a little better. As far as the linksys wireless, I have an older one and had to fudge with the driver just to get Win7 to see the card.......

Re: Windows 7 RC released
got my phenom running windows 7. running at 3.6 ghz (940 II) it works absolutely fine, going to default 3.0 ghz and it hangs at welcome for about 20 seconds before logging in, very weird.

Re: Windows 7 RC released
lol that's odd..
still sitting at 3.5ghz without a hint of an issue.... still haven't touched vcore or anything else as of yet... i'm kinda waiting for my replacement video card at which point i'll reinstall win7 .. maybe even get another hd4870x2... or maybe a 4890?.... running defaults... 3.0ghz.... no hang at win7... but it takes a smidge longer to boot no doubt

Re: Windows 7 RC released
that smidge is rather noticable for me. difference of 10-20 seconds, no issues like this with xp or vista. Could well be a program loading at boot ive installed that doesnt like my default clock speed. All im using is rivatuner and bitdefender at loadup though, other than that i've only had 1 more issue with windows 7 rc; when i logon the pc the internet will not work, the connection is not detected, reboot sorts it out. only happened twice so far.

Re: Windows 7 RC released
Running 64bit here. Very stable and allot faster than Vista.
Only problem is my Logitech webcam- always the last to get the driver right. Media Center is good- no out of sync sound to picture problems like in the betas. |
