Ok I don't understand what Microsoft is thinking with this one...

I downloaded and installed the movie maker beta and I am like

What am I missing? Really where the heck are all the features that were in the XP version???

The XP movie maker was amazing. It allowed you to really do a ton of stuff for a free program. It had a story board, you could easily edit video, music, and about 1,500 other things you can't do in this dumb beta.

I understand it is a beta, but why is it one? There is just about nothing you can do to edit any video... You can trim the video, but I have been unable to do it from any spot I wish. You can't really do anything you would expect even the most basic free editing program to do.

I give it so far a HUGE F-

Pros: Stable

Cons: Everything from the second you open up the program.


The final version better include the 1,500 features the Xp version had of this.


To make things worse not to long ago they looked like they had it right.

Yep Visual Effects include Changing it to black and white or another non normal color and transitions that seem to only allow you to put them at the start and end. And both of these offer about less than 10 choices combined. And you have your edit menu. You can add font to the start, Trim your video from (very basic) and mute it as well.

That is all.


EDIT: Until they can make this movie maker not suck as much as it does they do have a download for the old version! I am now happy
