Windows 7 is RTM now?
Been reading that it went gold or RTM (whatever the term is) and it's floating around out there now. I've heard that the final version is much improved over the previous build so I'm getting kind of excited now and want to try it out before it's available in retail. I'm glad that the prices are cheaper so I plan to own this OS on day one

No it won't work with the beta key. Anyway the latest leaked builds are on the RTM(release to market) "path" which means they're really close to what will (or quite possibly already has) be locked down for production. Just like with the final product one cannot upgrade a previous beta or RC path build to a build on the RTM path, so a fresh installation is necessary. As per this news post.

It's doing great here. While I'm not happy with all changes I don't want to go back.

That might be build 7229, at least for 64bit. On the other hand you don't need to use any key to run for 30 days, and then you can use the "slmgr /rearm" command for another 30 days. By then it's time to install something new.
