7600 and Thunderbird

Hello everyone. I`m having a problem with the recent build of 7. I installed thunderbird (3.x, 2.x, both x32 or x64 i`ve tried) and when launched i get this:

It worked fine on the RC1 build. And now, it doesn`t.I tried compatible with previous version of Win, run as admin, even safe mode.Nothing. Any opinions please? All of the other programs are ok, except this.

Re: 7600 and Thunderbird

Have you tried completely uninstalling and reinstalling Thunderbird?

I am not running that build or this program myself.

Re: 7600 and Thunderbird

I've only installed just now and tested my Gmail account, but Thunderbird 2 runs without problems. 7600 x64 Oh right, I also have UAC turned off(never notify) in case that makes a difference.

Re: 7600 and Thunderbird

What is UAC

Took me less than an hour to turn that crap off on my first Vista install.

Re: 7600 and Thunderbird

I`ve made it. After 1 h of manual cleaning the reg and safe mode install and delete profiles(even if i just installed 7).After I uninstalled Thunderbird, i couldn`t delete the profiles in users/appdata in normal boot mode.Only safe. So now..it`s ok.With T3.0b3.
Thanks everyone for trying to answer me.

and one more question: does everyone know a webpage with the services that can be stopped in 7 for normal use?I mean...no fax if you don`t have one..etc.

Thanks

Re: 7600 and Thunderbird

Glad you got it sorted it sounded like part of a previous install corruption was causing your issues. On the Win7 services not aware of an actual "tweak" page like they have for Vista I should look around for one though.

Anyway glad it's solved

Re: 7600 and Thunderbird

Good ol' BlackViper's guide should be up to date. Maybe not that much to tweak by default, but more and more software is adding services too nowadays.
