The Vista thread was very popular and is still used, please share your hardware and experience indexes via Windows 7.

Please be aware to score 7 or over on the hard drive performance you will need an SSD (or perhaps very fast velicoraptors in raid - haven't tested).

This would be my 'other' computer

Asus eee 900 Netbook with 16GB SSD, and RAM upgraded to 2GB.

It actually seems to perform better with Win 7 than it did with the original XP

I find this very odd ... I got a 5.8 because my "AERO Graphics" score was low (well, 5.8) ... whereas my GAMING graphics (which in general demands more, no?) was higher at 6.4 ...

my score (ran it shortly after installing Win7 and my drivers

CPU 6.1
RAM 7.0
GRAPHICS 5.8
GAMING GRAPHICS 6.4
HDD 5.9

these scores don't really make sense since my video card is not that "awesome" for games but then again my hard drive rocks....

Seriously, the Windows theme gets a 7.4 with a 4870?!!?! Sure, it's not on the leader board of top graphics cards but still, it's the frikkin' theme.
I do find it funny though that rbseaking1 got 0.1 points higher than me when their rig has two of the same cards as me.

An interesting thing to note that I discovered at work is that the monitor makes a difference to your graphics rating. We got in 30 identical PCs at work and one of the PCs (that we've found so far) has a higher graphics rating than others'. All of the other PCs seem to come in at a gaming graphics rating of 3.9 when one came out at 5. The only visible difference is the monitor; everything else is the same (except the screen resolution, which I later proved made no difference).

Can I also point out that Just Learnin' has two 295s in SLI with an additional 280 yet fails to receive the highest score for graphics? What do you need for this thing to max, Quadro cards in 4-way SLI?

Be interested to see how the Samsung Spinpoint F3's score as a primary hard-drive. I've been using the F1's since launch but these F3's are now the Hdd of choice in custom PC magazine in all cost/performance categories. No chance of getting one in to review DH? Make a change from mice/keyboards and graphics cards.
