7 and Windows Mail etc

I am going to upgrade to Windows 7 from Vista

I understand that "program" like Window Mail is not included but are available via Windows Live Essential....... Does Window 7 automatically install via a download these related programs? ????????

I believe you will have to get to the microsoft website and download the app, or through windows update (I recall seeing a "windows live essentials" but I hid it)

Strange, I haven't seen it in the updates. But yes, the new version, which includes some new features such as calendar, is available for free from MS's web site as a part of Windows Live Essentials (it's a set of programs, but it's not necessary to download all, you can get only Mail if you like).

Perhaps most viewers will see it in Windows Update on October 22nd ... it's possible that me seeing it was an error, but yeah it's one of my "hidden" updates.


Annoying windows update fact: I have the latest greatest ATI CCC Windows 7 x64 graphics drivers installed but windows update tried to push me one of their updates Hidden!!
