windows 7 on netbooks

Hi, i was wondering how stable / smooth windows 7 will run on a netbook with the atom n270 1.6ghz, 1.5gb of ram and intel 945 chipset

It should run fine.

I have it on my eee900, and it only has a Celeron 900. In fact, it 'feels' like it's running smoother/faster with 7 than it was with XP.

I do have 2GB ram, but your 1.5 should work OK.

i can attest to that..

win7 on good netbooks (i'm a fan of the ASUS lineup) is noticeably better then xp sp3

I have installed it on my wife's Acer One netbook. It runs just as well if not better than XP.

Windows 98 SECOND edition.

Windows XP was an extension of 2k

Etc. Etc.

Windows 7 is Vista 2nd Edition. :P
