Problems Installing Nvidia 8400M on Vaio Windows 7. Desperate!

I am lost!

I installed windows 7 64 bit on my Sony vaio SZ-79GN, when I tried to run the drivers for the Nvidia 8400M GS I realized that Sony does not supply driver, nor do the Nvidia drivers can be installed on the vaio. For the last 6 hours I tried to figure out what to do. Eventually I found this site. I have followed the instruction for the nVidia Mobility Modder Tool, downloaded the correct driver (186.81) so far so good. Then I run the setup for the driver and ALAS! At the end of the installation I get the following message “the system has not been modified” I don’t know what else to do….

I would appreciate any help or advice as I run out of options…

I have got the same problem! Totally frustrated and lost.
